South Dallas Cultural Center receives $10,000 award for film fest
The South Dallas Cultural Center has received $10,000 from the National Endowment of the Arts for a program supporting black women's film. Called the Challenge America award, it gives out grants to small and mid-sized organizations that are extending the reach of the arts to underserved populations. Dallas Design District gallery takes photographs to artsier address
After nine years on Dragon Street in Dallas' Design District, Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery is moving to a new space. The address: 154 Glass St., a few blocks from the original location, but in an area with a growing art presence. Owner Missy Finger says they're enthusiastic about the opportunity for change.
