Oil and gas activity did cause Azle earthquakes, SMU researchers say

Those waiting for scientific answers to the earthquakes that rattled Azle in late 2013 finally have their answer. A study led by Southern Methodist University found that high volumes of waste water injection combined with the extraction of saltwater extraction by the oil and gas industry caused the earthquakes in that region.
